Welcome to Virginia!

Life has been a little crazy the past month or so, so I have definitely been neglecting the blog. We are now officially living in Virginia. We really loved Arizona and will miss it there, but we are excited to be here and on to our next adventure in life.

The drive here was long. I think it was around 2300 miles total. We brought both of our cars and a moving truck so Justin drove the truck pulling his jeep and I drove the civic. It was not fun that both of us had to drive the whole way separately but oh well. We survived. We used our awesome walkie talkies! We stopped in Texas for a couple days to help break up the trip which was really fun.

We made it here without any problems but had a little issue with our apartment when we got here. We are renting a little townhouse in Falls Church, VA just a couple miles from where Justin is working. We got into our apartment and had tons of people show up to help us move in. Everything was going good until our next door neighbors (whose townhouse connects to ours) told us that they moved in a week before us and found a major bed bug problem in their townhouse. I guess there was a problem before and the apartment complex thought it had been taken care of-- but apparently not. I guess the problem was in our townhouse before too so I totally freaked out! The idea of little bugs living in my mattress and feeding on me while I sleep really creeps me out. So we talked to the apartment people and they said that we could stay in a hotel while we figured out a solution. Justin and I loaded everything back in our truck by ourselves and hung out for a week until we could move into another (bug-free) apartment. That first week was kind of hard because we were stranded but we're all moved in now and just about all unpacked.

Justin is enjoying his new job so far. Sounds like they are definitely going to keep him very busy. It's weird having him as the worker now but definitely nice. I finally started looking for jobs last week but nothing too promising as of now. Hopefully it won't take me too long to find something but we'll see how it goes. Until then I'm enjoying have a little time to relax and get settled in.

I'll take some pictures of our place once we get it all finished and I should now have the time to keep the blog up to date. Hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving!!
