Myrtle Beach

Justin and I went down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a little vacation a couple weeks ago. We had wanted to go on a cruise but I would have been "too pregnant" according to the cruise lines by the week we could go. Myrtle Beach ended up being a lot of fun though. We just drove down from DC and stayed at a resort on the beach for about a week. I couldn't really do too much but we did lots of swimming and lots of relaxing. I debated posting any of these pictures since I feel like a giant whale right now. I barely let Justin take any but I guess we may as well document me being pregnant, right?

This was the view from our balcony. Justin would walk out there at least 10 times a day and yell, "Hello Earth!"

Justin bought a boogie board to take down there and had lots of fun doing that. I would just watch :)

We tried to go on a dolphin watch tour boat the last day we were there but they wouldn't even let me do that being pregnant. We ended up going kayaking instead in this little salt water marsh area.




There were tons of dead jellyfish all over the beaches. Good thing we didn't see any live ones!

Apparently they have wild alligators in South Carolina:

We ate lots of ice cream too! I fed the baby really well during the trip :)


It was really nice to get away and enjoy one of our last vacations without kids. We have another trip planned to Utah but after that I think we're stuck here in the humidity until the baby comes. We're definitely trying to start getting ready for the baby by buying ALL the baby gear. Who would know that a kid needs so much stuff! Only about 3 1/2 more months to go. He'll be here before we know it!!
