Baby Nolan

We are so happy that on September 6th, Nolan David Roberts joined our family. He decided to finally come on Labor Day-- 7 lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long. My water broke at about 4am that day so we headed to the hospital where they induced me. The dr. said he would be absolutely shocked if I delivered before 6pm, but little Nolan decided to come quicker than expected and made his arrival at 2:24pm. Labor wasn't as bad as I expected it to be- epidurals really are amazing. I tore pretty bad so it's been kind of a long recovery but I'm feeling much better now.

Nolan is such a good little baby. He'll actually sleep for a 6 hour or more stretch at night (which I hear is AMAZING for a newborn). He pretty much eats all day long, but I'll take it if that means we get our sleep at night. We'll see how long that lasts!

We were so lucky to have my mom come and help out for a week or so. It was so nice to have someone around who knew what they were doing. She left yesterday and I cried. We'll see how I do on my own when Justin goes to work on Monday!

Here are some pictures of Nolan. We love him lots and are so lucky to have him in our family!!

Congratulations!!! Nolan is so adorable! We're so haopy for you guys. Is that a little green Kaiser blanket I recognize in the swing? We got one just like it! Hope they treated you well. You're gonna do great when Justin goes back to work. You'll get the hang of everything in no time. Wishing you a quick recovery! Hooray for babies!
