Las Vegas Trip!

I have the day off today so I thought I should probably take some time and update the blog. The weekend before last we met up with Justin's family in Las Vegas. His parents called us the Thursday before around 8:45pm and said that they were going to Vegas the next day and that whoever could make it was welcome to come. Justin told them that he had lots of homework to do so we probably wouldn't be able to make it. I heard the conversation and within minutes of him getting off the phone I had him convinced that we should go. I started packing immediately! It was amazing that with only about 24 hours notice Justin's whole family (including 10 people) were able to meet up for the weekend.

We left right after work on Friday and came home Sunday so it was a quick trip, but it was really fun to get away for the weekend and to see everybody. We went out to eat, walked around the Strip, and hung out with the fam. Justin and I stayed at the "ghetto-fabulous" Sahara hotel for $30 a night. It actually wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. We're used to living in the ghetto lately :) On Sunday morning we went to the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay. Here is a picture of the whole gang posing before we went in. Shark attack!!

Besides our Vegas trip life hasn't been too exciting lately. Justin finishes up his 2nd trimester of school this week so he has a few finals. He's been studying a lot lately so I have been reading the last two Twilight books. I borrowed them from a friend last week and I'm almost done with both of them. Justin likes to tease me about Edward and vampires!

The weather is still great down here. We're looking forward to baseball spring training and to my parents coming to visit in a couple weeks. Hope everyone is doing well!

Oh, the ghetto fabulous Sahara. Such high class accommodations for eager young RNC volunteers.

Looks like Vegas is the place to be this month! Sounds like you had a blast too. Still waiting for you to hop on over to San Diego and visit...
