Spring Training and Pinewood Derby

We had quite an eventful day yesterday. Justin and I went to our first Spring Training game of the year. We went and watched the Oakland A's play the Cleveland Indians. It was so hot outside! I wasn't prepared at all and ended up getting quite the sunburn on my arms. I'm not used to having to get the sunscreen out in February! Justin wanted us to get there really early so that he could try to get some autographs. He ended up getting Matt Holliday to autograph his ticket, who apparently is the best player on the A's. We're looking forward to going to lots more games!

Also, our ward did a pinewood derby last night. Justin was partly in charge of the activity so we felt like we needed to make a car. We don't have very many tools though so we were trying to think of an idea that wouldn't take too much work. I don't know how we came up with this but we ended up making our car into a porcupine! It was probably the most creative car there but we didn't put any weights on it so it was definitely the slowest. All the little kids kept talking about how cool our car was.... and how they all beat it! It wasn't very aerodynamic with a million nails sticking out the back of it. It was pretty fun though and even if it didn't win any races, I think it looked pretty neat.
