All is well here in Phoenix. I guess it's been a pretty "cool" month of June here compared to normal but it's definitely starting to heat up. I think we hit 110 degrees today which is pretty darn hot. Thank goodness for air conditioning!
We met all of Justin's siblings down in San Diego for Memorial Day weekend. We hung out and went to the beach which was pretty fun. We didn't take too many pictures but here is one of us at the beach (not the best picture but oh well):
I'll have to say that one of the highlights of the trip was going to Five Guys-- TWICE. Justin and I love that place! We ate there all the time while we were in DC and luckily they built one in Texas. We definitely wish there was one in Arizona but thank goodness we'll be living close to one again in a few months!
The trip to Texas was really good but getting back was pretty much a nightmare. There was a huge storm the night we were trying to get out of DFW. We ended up not getting out that night and our flight that was supposed to leave at 8:30 the next morning didn't leave until 4:00pm. We sat in that airport most of the day and got home 22 hours later than we were supposed to. We survived and I got to miss an extra day of work! The main purpose of our trip was to see my brother Michael who will be going on a mission at the end of the summer. He got his mission call in the mail the day after we left. He will be going to the Everett, Washington mission. None of us knew where that was but I guess it's just a little bit north of Seattle and the mission covers most of the northwestern part of the state. His mission actually borders Justin's mission so Justin is really excited for him. I've never been to Washington state but it looks really pretty up there.
We also celebrated our 2 year anniversary while we were in Texas. It's crazy how fast the past 2 years have gone. We've had a lot of adventures already. We spent most of our anniversary at the Great Wolf Lodge waterpark which was lots of fun. That place is pretty cool.
We're headed off to San Francisco this weekend for a fun little vacation. We're going to two Giants games so Justin is really excited. We're going to do a lot of the touristy stuff and cram as much as we can into 3 days. Should be a fun trip so I should have more to blog about next week!
