San Francisco

Last weekend Justin and I had such a fun trip to San Francisco. This was our graduation/ anniversary/ combined birthday trip for the year. It was about 50 degrees cooler there than it's been here so it felt pretty chilly but it was so nice to escape the heat for a couple days.

Justin's family came down for the day on Friday so we got to spend the day walking around San Francisco with them. They drove us down to Alamo Square where they have the famous Victorian houses.
Justin is a HUGE Giants fan so we went to two games while we were there. They won both games, scoring 22 runs between the two. I think Justin was a good luck charm!

We stayed at a hotel right in Fisherman's Wharf so we spent a lot of time walking around there and Pier 39.
We bought a pass for the cable cars. They weren't exactly the most time efficient manner of transportation but it was fun and we got to see a lot of the city.

On Saturday morning Justin convinced me to bike from Fisherman's Wharf to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was about 4 miles one way so not too bad but there were a couple big hills I made him walk up with me! We walked out on part of the bridge which had some pretty cool views of the city.

On Sunday we did the Alcatraz tour. It was pretty chilly on Sunday and I was not very prepared for it. I only brought flip flops and my feet were freezing so we went to this crazy sock shop on Pier 39 and bought me some socks I could wear with my flip flops. I felt like such a nerd but oh well-- it was worth it.
We loved San Francisco!
